Written by Steve Snake, Kode and Muzak Ltd, KGen is a great Sega Genesis/MegaDrive emulator. In fact, we noticed video/sound emulation being much better on most games with KGen than with Genecyst, but Bloodlust Software is working on improving this. As usual, as with all home console emulators, not all games will work. As development advances, more and more games will function. If you can't play a game on an emulator, try another one.

KGen has a very good graphical user interface, making it easy to configure and load ROMS. Just hit the ESC key and the menu will come up. Its menu has many features and options, so check them all out, and read the documentation included with KGen.

It faithfully emulates video and sound, although it is still buggy in some aspects, like FM sound. Also, we've noticed video and sound emulation are sometimes better on KGen. But nevertheless, it's quite functional, and it's under constant development. It has also has Game Genie support. And as usual, as with all home console emulators, not all games will work. As development advances, more and more games will work. If one game does not work with an emulator, use another emulator (KGen).
